Job Title: Senior Associate – Family Law

Overview
A highly regarded boutique family law firm is seeking an experienced senior associate to join its growing practice. The firm advises high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals on complex and sensitive family matters, often with an international dimension.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on a full spectrum of family law matters, including divorce, financial remedy proceedings, and private children disputes

  • Manage high-value and complex financial cases involving business assets, trusts, pensions, and cross-border issues

  • Draft and negotiate nuptial agreements (pre- and post-nuptial) and separation agreements

  • Represent clients in proceedings before the Family Court and, where appropriate, the High Court of Justice

  • Work closely with counsel, financial experts, and other advisers to develop case strategy

  • Handle sensitive client relationships with discretion and empathy

  • Supervise junior lawyers and contribute to the development of the team

  • Participate in business development and maintain strong client networks

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales

  • Typically 6–10+ years’ post-qualification experience in family law at a reputable firm

  • Strong experience in complex financial remedy work and private children matters

  • Proven ability to manage high-net-worth client relationships

  • Excellent technical knowledge of UK family law and procedure

  • Strong advocacy, negotiation, and drafting skills

  • Resolution membership and/or experience with non-court dispute resolution (e.g., mediation, arbitration, collaborative law) is advantageous

  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence
